THE FRONTEER OPEN 2019

 

The Fronteer Open 2019 is back for its second year, organised by Fronteer founders Michael Borkowsky and Sharon Mossbeck.

Following on from the success of last year’s exhibition, this year you can expect better prizes and more artwork than ever before, spread over two floors at 35 Chapel Walk Gallery in the city centre.

As well as £100 cash prize for winning artists, this year the exhibition is sponsored by CuratorSpace, who are offering winning artists a year’s free Artist Profile on the
CuratorSpace website.

The exhibition opens to the public from 27th November until 6th December, when it closes with the Prize Evening from 6-7.30pm.

BROUGHT TO BIRTH

The Christmas story is a narrative of hopeful birth in the midst of dark and difficult times. Whilst new birth beings hope and life the process of bringing a new thing into being is so often fraught with pain and uncertainty.

As we move towards the darkest months of the year 35 Chapel Walk has invited artists to submit work that explores these themes for the annual Christmas exhibition.
